Budget Analyst

Overview

This role supports capital projects and infrastructure consulting by analyzing financial data and assisting with financial management governance and audit readiness.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data from financial reporting systems.
• Track funding across the full life cycle of a project and reconcile all available balances.
• Support financial management project governance practices by ensuring internal controls are met.
• Provide support for financial audits as they arise.
• Produce financial analyses for projects.

Requirements

• ACTIVE and MAINTAINED "SECRET" Federal or DoD security clearance. Once onboard, the new hire MUST be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "TOP SECRET/SCI" security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Three (3) or more years of experience in accounting or finance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as a budget analyst for construction work.
• Highly developed analytical skills, including the ability to process large quantities of information to evaluate costs, benefits, and project outcomes.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems, and clearly articulate complex ideas with effective communication.
• Ability to solve complicated math problems, including disaggregation of data to form recommendations for a project to run effectively.
• Experience working with and understanding spreadsheets, financial analysis programs, and database functions.
