Certified Financial Advisor

Overview

This role is for a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) to join the organization as a Certified Financial Advisor or Senior Certified Financial Advisor. Positions are available as remote opportunities for candidates located in the Houston, Texas area.

Remote work will require collaboration with experienced advisors and specialists within the organization’s retail division to help clients stay focused on long-term goals, supported by established research and investor-first guidance.

Responsibilities

• Establish, grow, and maintain long-term relationships with clients.
• Partner with investors to help them plan for their financial goals.
• Provide disciplined investment approaches and tax management strategies, along with additional financial planning support.
• Develop personalized investment strategies and deliver financial planning guidance.

Qualifications

• Certified Financial Planner® designation required.
• Series 7, 63, or 66 (or the ability to acquire within 3 months of assuming the position).
• Advisory experience:
  • Three years for Financial Advisor
  • Five years for Senior Financial Advisor
  • Experience must be in advice planning, book of business management, and relationship management.
• Demonstrated experience managing a book of business with a track record of client satisfaction and loyalty.
• Experience applying trust and estate planning knowledge to help preserve clients’ wealth.
• In-depth knowledge of financial planning, investment strategies, and industry regulations.
• Demonstrated positive, resilient approach; ability to foster collaboration as both a peer and business partner.

Special Factors

• This role is designated as remote and must be performed within Texas.
• Employees are expected to maintain their primary work location within the Houston metropolitan area, with a preference for residing within a 50-mile radius of Houston, unless otherwise approved.
• Attendance at periodic in-person meetings, team events, training sessions, or other business-related travel may be required.
• Visa sponsorship is not offered for this position.

Location

Remote within Texas, with primary work location expected to be within the Houston metropolitan area (preference for living within 50 miles of Houston).
