CFO & Business Advisor | $182K+ OTE | Remote

Overview

This role is for a hands-on CFO & Business Advisor providing financial leadership to approximately 30 small law firms. You will work directly with owners to improve pricing, margins, cash flow, and overall profitability while supporting smarter business decisions.

The organization provides the clients, systems, and infrastructure—no prospecting or business development is required.

• Employment: Full-Time (W-2)
• Compensation: $110,000 base salary + performance compensation
• On-target earnings (OTE): $182,000+
• Work arrangement: 100% remote

Responsibilities

• Deliver finance leadership to approximately 30 small law firms
• Partner with business owners to improve pricing, margins, cash flow, and profitability
• Perform financial statement analysis, modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management
• Advise business owners, founders, or senior leadership teams to support business decision-making
• Manage multiple client relationships simultaneously

Requirements

• 8+ years of finance leadership experience advising or leading finance for small and midsized businesses (generally in the $1M–$35M+ revenue range)
• Experience managing multiple client relationships simultaneously
• Direct experience advising business owners, founders, or senior leadership teams
• Hands-on expertise in:
  • Financial statement analysis
  • Modeling
  • Forecasting
  • Budgeting
  • Cash flow management
• Proven track record of helping businesses improve profitability, pricing, margins, or financial performance
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional leadership experience

Important: The role requires someone who personally performs financial analysis and modeling. Experience limited to accounting, month-end close, traditional controllership, or overseeing a finance team is not a fit. Primarily enterprise finance experience without substantial SMB advisory experience is not a fit.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience as a CFO, Fractional CFO, Outsourced CFO, Virtual CFO, or similar financial leader
• Legal industry experience is not required
