Overview

A reputable accounting firm affiliated with a legal and consulting group is seeking a Junior to Middle Level Accounting Collaborator to join their team in Port-Louis. The role involves managing a diverse portfolio of clients including SMEs, large groups, domestic companies, partnerships, and individuals primarily based in Mauritius, the United Kingdom, and France.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of approximately 15 to 20 clients with varying activity levels.
• Participate in bookkeeping and preparation of client files.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and monitor various accounts.
• Assist in the preparation of annual accounts and financial statements.
• Calculate and complete tax returns.
• Prepare, calculate, and submit VAT and TDS declarations.
• Prepare PAYE, CSG, NSF, Levy, and PRGF declarations.
• Ensure administrative follow-up of client files and respond to client requests.
• Communicate directly with clients primarily via email in French and English.
• Meet accounting, tax, and social deadlines.
• Provide clear, professional, and responsive client communication.
• Gradually gain autonomy over the client portfolio.
• Contribute to client satisfaction and retention.
• Actively participate in the development of the firm.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing ACCA studies, minimum Level 2.
• 3 to 4 years of experience in accounting.
• Good knowledge of the Mauritian accounting and tax environment.
• Proficiency in French and English.
• Strong rigor, organization, and team spirit.
• Experience in an accounting firm, audit, or taxation is a strong advantage.
• Interest in IT tools is appreciated.
• Good communication skills with clients and team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 1 to 5 years of relevant experience.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: Rs 30,000 to Rs 40,000 per month.
• Remote work option available.
