Overview
This remote role is open to candidates in multiple U.S. markets including NY, NJ, MA, VA, IL, AZ, FL, CA, GA, TX, NC, and SC.
The Commercial Collateral Analyst I/II supports the review of collateral submitted by commercial customers. This position serves as the primary contact for borrowers, reviewing, analyzing, and reconciling documentation to verify collateral value and assess the potential to repay loans. The role may also involve recommending and implementing process improvements to ensure documentation complies with loan financial requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide analytical insight and technical support to lending activities, maintaining strong knowledge of industry, risk, and policy to assist associates.
- Recommend process improvements and assist with department processes as needed.
- Obtain and monitor financial documentation used in review efforts, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Prepare complex reports and journal entries projecting the financial position, identifying and explaining variances monthly, quarterly, and annually.
- Develop additional reporting requirements as necessary.
- Source, compile, and interpret financial data or statements.
- Identify quantitative and qualitative factors impacting credit to inform credit relationships.
- Analyze data for accuracy and efficiency and effectively communicate analysis results.
Qualifications
Required
Collateral Analyst I:
- Bachelor's Degree with 0 years of experience in Credit Review, Analysis, or Financial Reporting, OR
- High School Diploma or GED with 2 years of experience in Credit Review, Analysis, or Financial Reporting.
Collateral Analyst II:
- Bachelor's Degree with 3 years of experience in Credit Review, Analysis, or Financial Reporting, OR
- High School Diploma or GED with 7 years of experience in Credit Review, Analysis, or Financial Reporting.
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or Economics.
- 1 year of experience in Commercial Banking and/or Finance.
- Experience with collateral review and documentation.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Reporting experience.
- Experience with loan systems and applications.
Compensation & Benefits
Commercial Collateral Analyst I:
- Base pay typically ranges from $51,450 to $80,000.
Commercial Collateral Analyst II:
- Base pay typically ranges from $63,450 to $90,000.
Actual starting pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. Some roles may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and other awards as outlined in the employment offer.
