Controller

Overview

This role is for a Controller for Nigeria within the organization’s international finance team, reporting to the International Africa Controller in the Control & Accounting function. Key collaboration will also occur with the Finance Business Partner team, particularly the Finance Business Partner focusing on Africa.

The position supports robust day-to-day operations for a remote team, with a focus on producing accurate and timely management information, ensuring compliance with accounting and tax regulations, and liaising with external auditors and regulatory bodies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver all financial reporting requirements accurately, to a high standard, and on time, in line with the reporting calendar.
• Partner with Business Partners to produce regular and ad hoc financial analysis and reporting, highlighting key trends and areas requiring further attention.
• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of business and finance processes, working closely with global and regional teams.
• Maintain a strong internal controls environment by collaborating with Internal Audit and Compliance teams.
• Support internal and external audits, ensuring audit findings and management recommendations are addressed and resolved in a timely manner.
• Review local statutory and regulatory filings, including tax and VAT requirements.
• Collaborate effectively with a remote finance team based in India to ensure strong coordination and communication across locations.
