Overview

This role is for a Corporate Finance Manager to join the Finance team. You will partner with the Director of Corporate Finance and VP of Finance on consolidations, opex, balance sheet and cash flow forecasting, internal business reviews, external board reporting, and ad hoc analyses.

You will contribute to financial reporting delivered to executive leadership and other stakeholders, including the board and investors. The role emphasizes independent ownership, rigorous accuracy, proactive communication, and hands-on use of AI to automate and improve finance workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Own execution of monthly, quarterly, and annual FP&A processes, including the forecast calendar, key milestones, and long-term financial modeling, delivering end to end.
  • Develop deep understanding of the business model and key levers (growth, margin drivers, and risk areas) and connect numbers to underlying drivers through insights and variance commentary.
  • Contribute to executive and board materials on business performance and strategic decisions by preparing analyses, drafting slides, and ensuring accuracy of underlying data.
  • Prepare consolidated income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow models.
  • Analyze actual vs. expected performance with rigorous variance commentary grounded in data.
  • Ensure short-, medium-, and long-range financial plans are built and delivered through a rigorous and collaborative process.
  • Own and improve the total company opex budgeting process at the GL and department level, including request/approval/loading processes and documentation, in partnership with department heads, Accounting, and the People team on headcount planning.
  • Build inspection mechanisms that hold budget owners accountable to plan (budget log, approval thresholds, plan-to-actual GL mapping).
  • Develop and maintain financial models, reports, and analyses to support key business decisions and strategic initiatives.
  • Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as required; proactively surface insights and risks to the Director of Corporate Finance, VP of Finance, CFO, and business partners.
  • Identify and implement AI-enabled automation across FP&A workflows, including experiments to reduce manual effort in reporting, modeling, variance analysis, and deck production; share learnings and scale repeatable processes.
  • Maintain strong accuracy and quality control habits, including building review checkpoints, reconciliations, and self-QC practices into every deliverable before submission.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, finance business partnering, strategic finance, investment banking, private equity, consulting, accounting, or a related analytical role.
  • Manager-level ownership or the equivalent scope.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and how they connect, including balance sheet and cash flow mechanics.
  • Advanced analytical and modeling skills, including building models from the ground up and working with large, detailed datasets.
  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets and strong slide-building skills.
  • Experience delivering recurring executive- or board-facing deliverables end to end across multiple cycles (e.g., exec/board packages, monthly reporting packs, client or deal models).
  • Experience building or materially rebuilding processes or models from the ground up.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills to distill complex analyses into clear, concise insights and recommendations for executive and board audiences.
  • Demonstrated independent ownership: ability to take an ambiguous problem, frame it, set priorities, and drive work forward without templates or clear precedent.
  • Exceptional accuracy and quality control mindset, including building checks into models and decks and fixing issues at the source.
  • Demonstrated proactive communication and ability to manage timelines and deliver commitments without being chased.
  • Hands-on curiosity and demonstrated use of AI tools in finance workflows, with concrete examples (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar) to automate reporting, accelerate analysis, improve modeling, or scale deliverables.
  • Accountable for every number and sentence in deliverables regardless of which tool produced them; never hand over AI output without reading and verifying.
  • Comfortable taking on work not previously done and learning new tools, systems, and business areas quickly.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or another quantitative field.
  • Genuinely excited about what AI can do in practice (not just as a concept).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Planning systems experience (NetSuite Planning and Budgeting, Oracle Hyperion, Anaplan, Adaptive).
  • SQL or BI tools.
  • Experience improving or automating reporting and planning processes.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce, marketplace, or retail business models.
  • Experience at both public and high-growth private companies.
  • MBA or CPA.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Starting salary range: $128,413 to $171,229.
  • Starting salary is based on location, experience, and qualifications, with increases over time tied to performance, role growth, and internal pay equity.
  • Company-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Retirement savings plan with company matching and flexible spending accounts.
  • Generous paid parental leave and PTO.
  • Winter Wonder Week: a paid week off at the end of the year.
  • Remote work stipend to set up your office.
  • Perks for physical, mental, and emotional health, parenting, childcare, and financial planning.
