Overview
A growing pet food company is seeking a Demand & Financial Planning Analyst to join their finance team. This remote U.S.-based role reports to the Director of Revenue Management and involves analyzing retail sales, managing demand planning models, tracking input costs, and collaborating cross-functionally to support business performance and strategic planning.
Responsibilities
- Partner weekly with the omnichannel lead to analyze retail sales across partners and distributors.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain to ensure sufficient inventory at fulfillment centers and manage monthly reforecasting.
- Maintain a demand planning model based on sales trends and expected activities to project inventory demands, sales mix trends, and gross margin impact.
- Track and monitor input costs to understand gross margin evolution across the product portfolio.
- Work with cross-functional teams to analyze business performance.
- Collaborate with Finance and omnichannel leads to size and model new business opportunities.
- Assist in developing long-term strategic plans.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in financial planning and analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field from an accredited four-year college or university.
- Experience with NetSuite or other ERP systems.
- Understanding of U.S. GAAP accounting principles.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to provide actionable solutions.
- Adaptability to a dynamic and agile business environment.
- Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to leverage technology to improve processes.
- Positive attitude and collaborative approach.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in an omnichannel retail environment.
- Familiarity with demand planning and inventory management.
