Overview
This role offers an opportunity for a Business Finance Analyst to provide data-driven analysis and support to the Finance organization and Executive leadership. It is suitable for recent graduates or individuals early in their career seeking growth within a company.
Responsibilities
- Develop, deliver, and refine ad hoc analyses, financial models, and business cases to support a dynamic business environment.
- Build in-depth analytics to challenge and support business decisions.
- Utilize AI tools to support and substantiate analysis.
- Provide financial analysis, forecasts, and insights to aid decision-making and communicate financial results to business leaders and finance management.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of sales and margin performance across segments, identify market trends, and understand margin components.
- Support month-end reporting needs for business leaders.
- Update forecasts and identify items not visible in the numbers driving the forecast.
- Prepare and deliver reports to senior leadership and collaborate with departments outside of finance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, accounting, or equivalent work experience.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft O365, especially Excel.
- Strong analytical and modeling skills, comfortable combining multiple data sources and improving processes.
- Outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to synthesize complex data into clear, concise insights and recommendations for senior leaders.
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
- Effective self-management of schedule and competing priorities from multiple internal customers/projects with speed and accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI and/or SQL.
- Wholesale or distribution industry experience.
- Practical experience using AI-enabled tools.
Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated monthly pay range: $4,500.00 - $7,333.70, depending on location, qualifications, and experience.
- Bonus or incentive plan eligible.

- This position is approved for remote work within the United States or hybrid work for associates located in Newport News, VA, according to company policy.
