Overview

A leading technology organization is seeking a Finance Commission Manager to join their Sales Compensation Finance team. This role involves supporting the administration, execution, analysis, and continuous improvement of commission programs and payouts across a global Go-To-Market Sales organization.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and support global sales compensation plans, ensuring accurate commission calculations, reporting, accruals, and payouts.
  • Manage and maintain sales compensation systems and data, including employee, plan, and transaction information.
  • Analyze compensation results, identify issues, and provide recommendations to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Human Resources, Revenue Operations, and leadership to support plan administration and align with business objectives.
  • Respond to participant inquiries, provide compensation guidance, and deliver training as needed.
  • Support commission forecasting, accounting, audits, and month-end close activities.
  • Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and system enhancements to increase operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in Sales Compensation, Finance, Revenue Operations, or Sales Operations with strong knowledge of commission plan administration and incentive compensation processes.
  • Hands-on experience with sales compensation and financial systems such as Varicent, Salesforce, NetSuite, and other cloud-based platforms.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills capable of handling large, complex datasets and performing detailed analysis.
  • Strong understanding of compensation accounting, accruals, forecasting, financial reporting, and audit support.
  • Ability to think critically, identify root causes, develop solutions, and drive continuous process improvements.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Passion for automation, process optimization, operational excellence, and leveraging technology to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Experience in SaaS, software, or other high-growth technology environments is preferred.
