Finance Controller

Overview

This role is remote. The organization is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Finance Controller to oversee financial and accounting operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and support strategic financial planning.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all finance functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
• Lead accounting processes, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger management, and financial statement preparation.
• Conduct monthly book closures, reconciliations, and variance analysis to maintain financial integrity.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Ensure timely and accurate tax filings, compliance with financial regulations, and statutory audits.
• Support financial due diligence for acquisitions and help ensure smooth integration of new businesses.
• Develop and implement financial strategies to optimize cash flow, cost management, and profitability.
• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline financial processes and improve internal controls.
• Coordinate analyses that support senior leadership decision-making.
• Manage, coach, and mentor a team of finance professionals.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making.
• Maintain and improve financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CA certification is required.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in financial management, preferably in a SaaS/software or technology company.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Zoho Books, SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel. Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate across teams and present financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
• Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities.
