Finance Manager (Remote)

Overview

A remote, part-time Finance Manager role is available for a US-based finance expert. This position involves evaluating AI models applied to financial domains, identifying performance gaps, and developing structured rubrics to assess model capabilities. The role influences AI systems used in capital markets, portfolio management, and investment strategies. Prior AI experience is not required; a strong foundation in finance and problem-solving is essential.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate large language model (LLM) performance in finance, focusing on deal analysis, M&A assessments, and quantitative reasoning.
• Design and implement rubrics to systematically assess AI model capabilities in specific financial domains, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
• Collaborate with researchers to identify gaps between current AI capabilities and real-world financial decision-making needs.
• Provide structured feedback on model outputs, highlighting strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement.
• Contribute to AI training pipeline development by specifying financial knowledge domains and edge cases for model refinement.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in finance, with expertise in capital markets, portfolio management, trading, investment banking, or corporate finance.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to analyze complex financial concepts and assess model limitations.
• Experience creating structured evaluation frameworks such as rubrics, checklists, or benchmarks in professional or academic settings.
• Familiarity with financial terminology, markets, and decision-making processes, including deal analysis and M&A assessments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for articulating feedback and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
