Overview

This role is for a Financial Analyst supporting stakeholders with spreadsheet-based analysis, careful review of assumptions and variances, and clear communication of financial trends.

Responsibilities

• Review source information and validate calculations before financial analysis is distributed or relied upon.
• Determine drivers of differences between plan and actual performance by identifying accounts or operating factors that contributed to movements.
• Analyze revenue, expenses, margins, and other financial or operating measures to identify performance drivers.
• Build and maintain spreadsheet-based financial models for planning, comparison, and scenario analysis.
• Support KPI reporting by connecting financial measures with relevant operational context.
• Communicate financial findings in concise business language, including risks, limitations, and areas requiring follow-up.
• Document model logic, assumptions, and analytical methods so work remains understandable and reusable.
• Present alternative scenarios when a single estimate could create a false sense of precision, especially when outcomes depend on variables that may change.

Requirements

• Ability to manage assigned priorities independently while collaborating through digital tools in a remote environment.
• Foundational understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and basic accounting principles.
• Strong numerical reasoning and attention to detail, with a disciplined approach to checking financial information.
• Comfort learning company-specific reporting definitions, schedules, and planning processes.
• Comfort using Microsoft Excel or comparable spreadsheet software for calculations and organized financial schedules.
