Overview
A leading aerospace development organization is seeking a Financial Analyst – Level 2 to support Advanced Development Programs (ADP). This junior-level role provides essential Earned Value Management System (EVMS) support to Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), Control Account Managers (CAMs), and Program Managers. The position focuses on ensuring financial data accuracy, supporting budgeting, and analyzing performance metrics to aid decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Support EVMS activities for ADP projects in collaboration with IPTs, CAMs, and Program Managers
- Maintain and analyze cost, schedule, and performance data at the control account level, ensuring compliance with EVMS standards
- Assist in developing and updating program budgets, Estimates at Complete (EACs), and baseline changes
- Prepare and distribute financial reports at IPT and CAM levels, highlighting key performance metrics and variances
- Participate in monthly business rhythm activities including data validation, variance analysis, and review preparations
- Identify potential performance risks and opportunities through detailed financial and program data analysis
- Support program milestones such as Baseline Reviews, Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs), and Cost Estimate at Complete (CEAC) exercises by providing accurate financial insights
- Ensure data integrity and adherence to EVMS policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple sites to gather inputs, resolve issues, and support program execution
- Communicate financial insights effectively to stakeholders and contribute to team problem-solving efforts
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field, or 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
- Experience in financial analysis and reporting
- Familiarity with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) concepts and applications
- Proficiency with Deltek Cobra, SAP, Hyperion, and Excel for data analysis and reporting
- Experience developing program budgets and Estimates at Complete (EACs)
- Knowledge of preparing reports such as CPR, IPMR, or CFSR
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance (Secret level)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting advanced aerospace or defense programs
- Familiarity with control account management and integrated product team environments
