Overview

This role supports the finance operations of a sustainable waste solutions provider with over 40 years of industry leadership. The organization focuses on carbon-negative outcomes through innovative materials management, helping customers reduce, reuse, recycle, and recover value from waste streams.

Responsibilities

  • Review requisitions and open purchase orders to ensure accurate account/project coding and proper process setup.
  • Coordinate scheduling, delivery, and timing changes with stakeholders to ensure timely receipt of goods and services and financial accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve accounts payable invoice match exceptions to expedite transaction completion and support month-end close.
  • Assist the Area Controller during month-end close and forecasting cycles.
  • Develop analytical views to analyze financial performance and key performance indicators.
  • Provide expense analytics to support cost management, expense reduction, and improve budget and forecast accuracy.
  • Assist with inventory stock management and execution of cycle or physical counts.
  • Support development and maintenance of facility long-term maintenance plans, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors to provide required documentation.
  • Prepare financial and modeling analyses for facility projects aimed at cost improvement and meeting business needs.
  • Ensure data integrity across different system tools.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to meet financial, operational, and commercial objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or MACC preferred.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong computer and financial modeling skills.
  • Analytical skills including product line profitability analysis.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft or similar ERP systems; proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required. Experience with Oracle, Smart View, or Analysis for Office is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Independent thinker with a proactive, can-do attitude.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; no visa sponsorship available.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in finance roles supporting operational facilities.
  • Familiarity with procure-to-pay processes and inventory management.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $69,100.00 - $91,900.00 USD per annum, dependent on experience and skills.
