Overview
This Financial Analyst role focuses on preparing inputs for SEC filings, conducting regulatory compliance reviews, and developing financial models to support strategic capital allocation decisions. The position operates at the intersection of corporate finance and technical accounting, ensuring strict adherence to US GAAP and SOX compliance standards while providing actionable financial insights.
Responsibilities
- Prepare comprehensive financial models, variance analyses, and forecast templates to support monthly and quarterly close cycles.
- Draft technical disclosure schedules for 10-Q and 10-K filings, ensuring alignment with US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
- Maintain and audit SOX control documentation for core financial processes, coordinating with internal and external audit teams.
- Analyze departmental budgets versus actual expenditures, identifying cost-saving opportunities and highlighting operational risks to leadership.
- Develop automated dashboard reporting using Tableau and NetSuite to streamline financial metrics tracking and reporting cycles.
- Evaluate proposed vendor contracts and business transactions to determine appropriate accounting treatment and future balance sheet impact.
Requirements
- 3-6 years of experience in corporate finance, public accounting, or financial planning & analysis (FP&A).
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a highly quantitative field.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SOX internal controls, and SEC compliance frameworks.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling, index/match functions, and macros.
- Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Workday, or SAP.
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail, with experience handling large financial datasets.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active CPA license or CFA charterholder.
- Experience with SQL and business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Looker.
