Overview
A rapidly growing beverage company in the United States is seeking a Financial Analyst for Business Development. This role supports financial planning, analysis, and projection of company finances and assets, serving as a strategic partner to management to guide and influence long-term financial initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Act as a financial business partner to the assigned department.
- Review and analyze all new customer proformas and assist with recommendations.
- Collaborate with the Business Development team, including Sales, Marketing, Insights and Analytics, and New Product Distribution.
- Provide analysis and after-action reporting on new products and new customer profitability.
- Analyze and report on profitability and margin trends as needed.
- Assist Sales and Marketing in creating business cases for new customers, new items, and territory expansion.
- Analyze and assist in price increase impact discussions.
- Support the new product development team with break-even analysis, new product profitability, and financial modeling for innovation items.
- Perform market sizing activities to aid in identifying revenue opportunities.
- Provide creative alternatives and recommendations for cost reduction and improved financial performance.
- Conduct budgeting variance and forecasting analysis for various management levels.
- Assist staff with budget preparation, implementation, and control.
- Support Board of Director presentations and ad hoc analyses as required.
- Develop models and presentation slides for the monthly financial review presented to the Executive Team.
- Assemble and summarize complex reports on financial status, risks, and trends.
- Work closely with Finance Leadership and the CFO on various projects.
- Uphold and demonstrate leadership in corporate responsibility programs including recycling, social advocacy, and volunteering opportunities.
- Fulfill food safety responsibilities.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
Qualifications
- Four-year college degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.
- Advanced experience with enterprise-level accounting software and Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Experience with Power BI and OneStream is preferred but not required.
