Overview

This role focuses on corporate financial planning, regulatory compliance, and strategic modeling to support scaling operations. It involves working within US GAAP, SOX, and SEC compliance frameworks to translate complex transaction data into actionable financial intelligence and rigorous statutory reporting.

The analyst will collaborate closely with accounting, legal, and operational leadership to manage variance analysis, design robust internal controls, and build predictive forecasting models that guide capital allocation.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain complex financial models in Excel and specialized FP&A software to forecast revenue, operating expenses, and cash flow
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual variance analyses comparing actual results against budget and forecast, isolating key operational drivers
  • Support SEC reporting workflows, including preparation of financial statements, footnotes, and disclosures for Form 10-K and Form 10-Q filings
  • Design, document, and test internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) to ensure continuous compliance with SOX Section 404 requirements
  • Liaise with external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits to facilitate timely delivery of requested schedules and workpapers
  • Streamline reporting processes by leveraging ERP systems (such as NetSuite) and SQL to extract, clean, and analyze transactional data

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of experience in corporate finance, public accounting, or financial planning and analysis (FP&A)
  • Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP accounting standards, SOX compliance protocols, and SEC reporting guidelines
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling, data tables, and advanced formulas
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a highly quantitative field
  • Experience working with enterprise ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Workday, SAP) and BI visualization tools

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active CPA license or CFA charterholder
  • Experience with SQL and automated financial planning tools
