Financial Analyst

Overview

This role involves performing accounting, financial reporting, and analysis functions. The position requires applying financial analysis knowledge and judgment to routine activities, primarily based on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Responsibilities

• Extract financial data from various accounting and information systems.
• Compile, consolidate, and analyze financial data.
• Analyze, test, and verify the accuracy and reasonableness of compiled information using accounting and financial analysis knowledge.
• Respond to requests from management and other departments.
• Understand information flow to troubleshoot problems effectively.
• Participate in monthly and quarterly accounting processes to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Explain analysis methods and reporting to others.
• Update and consolidate financial reports for forecasting, trending, and results analysis.
• Support business unit reporting needs and perform duties related to corporate business reporting.
• Assist with project work and serve as a member of divisional project teams as needed.
• Ensure adherence to the organization's internal control framework.
• Improve procedures and update and organize documentation of reporting and planning processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience.
• Up to 2 years of relevant experience.
• Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of financial areas such as investments, insurance products, or premiums.
• Effective oral and written communication skills with a customer service approach.
• Detail-oriented and accurate with strong analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $53,000 - $70,000 annually. Actual starting pay depends on qualifications, experience, geography, work location designation (in-office, hybrid, remote), and operational needs.
• Eligibility for an annual bonus based on individual performance and company bonus plans, at the organization's discretion.
