Overview
This role involves performing financial analysis related to company expenses, income, and overall business results based on past, present, and future operations. The position requires researching, analyzing, and reporting fluctuations in financial and business results to identify trends and variances, and making recommendations to improve performance and resolve issues.
Responsibilities
- Analyze fluctuations between actual financial results and budgeted amounts to advise management on potential cost impacts and recommend corrective actions
- Assist in preparing company budgets and financial forecasts to support business planning
- Monitor and evaluate individual department expenses to identify trends and assist in cost control
- Recommend changes to streamline accounting systems and processes for efficiency and resource utilization
- Prepare reports outlining the company's financial position regarding income, expenses, and earnings to aid financial decision-making
- Analyze and interpret various financial reports and statistics for management, providing recommendations to support sound business decisions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 4 years of financial analysis or related experience
- Demonstrated ability to conduct various types of analysis, including cost-benefit and alternative analysis
- Experience documenting, proposing, negotiating, and presenting approaches and solutions
- Proficiency in spreadsheet applications and mainframe accounting systems
- Ability to visualize and plan for future business outcomes and changes
- Thorough understanding of business implications, interdependencies, and system interfaces
- Strong conflict management skills
- Skilled at facilitating meetings and negotiating across all organizational levels
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a team environment
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels
- Regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment in job duties
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong experience in preparing Statements of Cash Flows
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $63,000.00 - $108,675.00 (may vary by market and based on experience and other job-related factors)
- Eligible for bonuses and commissions as part of the compensation package
