Overview
A fast-growing consumer brand focused on skincare is seeking a Financial Analyst to join their finance team during an exciting growth phase. This role reports to the SVP of Finance and involves supporting financial reporting, analysis, and operational finance activities. It offers exposure to a wide range of financial functions within a dynamic consumer brand environment.
Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Strategic Analysis
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow support
- Assist with variance analysis against budget and forecast, identifying key drivers and trends to inform business decisions
- Support management reporting and provide ad hoc financial analysis for leadership
- Collaborate with the Controller to ensure accuracy and consistency in financial reporting across the organization
Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning
- Own the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes to maintain financial discipline
- Track departmental spending and headcount against plans to support disciplined growth
- Build and maintain financial models to support strategic planning and high-stakes decision-making
Inventory, Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) & Margin Support
- Support inventory reporting, reconciliation, and analysis to optimize cash flow
- Assist in tracking COGS, gross margin, and manufacturing variances
- Partner with operations and supply chain teams to ensure data accuracy
Close Support & Process Improvement
- Support the monthly close process including reconciliations, accruals, and balance sheet reviews
- Help maintain and improve financial models, dashboards, and ERP/reporting systems
- Improve documentation, templates, and processes to support a high-growth finance organization
Requirements
- 2 to 5 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, FP&A, or related roles
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- Strong skills in Excel or Google Sheets, comfortable managing large data sets and complex financial models
- High attention to detail, proactive mindset, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with accounting systems and financial reporting in consumer packaged goods (CPG) or retail environments
- Strong communication skills with proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally
