Overview

This role is responsible for driving corporate finance planning, monthly forecasting, and ensuring rigorous regulatory compliance. It serves as a key liaison between day-to-day operational transactions and strategic decision-making, working closely with the corporate accounting team.

Maintaining the financial integrity of US GAAP, SOX, and SEC reporting frameworks is critical. The position involves ownership of complex financial models, variance analyses, and compliance workflows to support institutional readiness as the business scales.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain detailed three-statement financial models in Microsoft Excel to support monthly forecast cycles, annual budgeting, and long-range planning.
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly variance analyses comparing actual financial results against budget and forecast, providing actionable insights to finance leadership.
  • Assist in preparing SEC-aligned financial statements and footnote disclosures, ensuring strict adherence to US GAAP principles.
  • Maintain and document key internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) to support ongoing compliance with SOX 404 requirements.
  • Extract and manipulate complex datasets using SQL and NetSuite to generate routine and ad-hoc financial reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the corporate accounting team during the month-end close process to reconcile revenue, accruals, and departmental expenses.

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of experience in corporate finance, public accounting, or financial analyst roles, preferably within a fast-growing technology company.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a highly quantitative field.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VBA, complex formulas, and financial modeling best practices.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems such as NetSuite or Workday.
  • Solid understanding of US GAAP accounting standards, SOX compliance frameworks, and SEC reporting guidelines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate raw transactional data into structured, strategic presentations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active CPA license or CFA charterholder.
  • Hands-on experience writing SQL queries.
  • Experience building dashboards in BI tools such as Tableau or Looker.
