Overview

This Financial Analyst role combines corporate finance, regulatory compliance, and strategic planning responsibilities. The position focuses on financial modeling, budget-to-actual variance analysis, and internal controls testing to support efficient and transparent business scaling.

Maintaining the integrity of financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP and SOX compliance is a key aspect. The role involves close collaboration with corporate accounting and department leaders to translate complex regulatory and financial data into actionable insights for senior management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed three-statement financial models forecasting revenue, operating expenses, and cash flow on a rolling monthly basis.
  • Lead monthly budget-to-actual variance analysis, identify drivers of discrepancies, and present findings to department heads.
  • Assist in preparing SEC-aligned financial statements, disclosures, and supporting schedules for quarterly and annual reporting.
  • Document and test internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) to ensure compliance with SOX Section 404.
  • Automate data extraction and financial reporting processes by building dashboards using NetSuite, Workday Adaptive Planning, or SQL databases.
  • Evaluate capital allocation, departmental spending requests, and business unit performance metrics to identify cost-saving and ROI optimization opportunities.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in corporate finance, public accounting, or financial planning and analysis (FP&A).
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a highly quantitative field.
  • Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP, SOX compliance frameworks, and corporate accounting workflows.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VBA, financial modeling, and complex formulas.
  • Experience with modern ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or Sage Intacct.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active CPA or CFA candidacy.
  • Experience with SQL or business intelligence tools like Tableau or Looker.
  • Prior experience in public accounting, including Big 4 or regional firms.
