Overview
An organization focused on transforming venture capital is seeking a Fund Accountant to execute core fund accounting workflows accurately and consistently across a defined set of venture funds. This role offers an opportunity to build deep expertise in venture capital fund operations at scale.
Responsibilities
- Execute day-to-day fund accounting tasks, including transaction booking, allocations, and capital activity
- Maintain accurate general ledger records across assigned funds
- Prepare periodic financial statements and supporting schedules
- Support capital calls, distributions, and investor reporting processes
- Assist with audit and tax preparation through clean, well-organized workpapers
- Follow documented processes and controls consistently
- Promptly surface questions or discrepancies to senior team members
Requirements
- 2–4+ years of experience in fund accounting, accounting, or fund administration
- Familiarity with venture capital or private equity fund structures
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage recurring deadlines across multiple funds
- Clear written communication and reliable follow-through
- Interest in improving accounting workflows through better systems, data, or automation
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience supporting audits or year-end close processes
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $75,000 - $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience
