Overview

This role leads strategic finance and capital strategy for a remote, full-time data center platform focused on turnkey AI data centers. The organization operates large-scale compute sites with an established, revenue-generating business.

Responsibilities

  • Own capital strategy for each data center, including design of the capital stack (construction and project debt, equity, joint ventures, and LP structures)
  • Lead the end-to-end fundraise process:
    • Build the model, story, and materials
    • Run processes with banks, private credit, infrastructure funds, and strategic investors
    • Negotiate terms and close deals
  • Develop and maintain relationships with lenders, investors, and LPs to support future raises
  • Partner with the BD team on deal economics and lease structures so projects are financeable
  • Oversee accounting and reporting across the organization and the data center business, working with the Head of Finance, to prepare for institutional capital
  • Partner on employee equity plan strategy and valuation narrative as the data center business moves into its own parent company

First 90 Days

  • Meet founders, sites, and key financial metrics
  • Review capital relationships already in progress
  • Present a financing plan and timeline to leadership
  • Drive the first raise forward so the board can see a clear path to funding the first data center by day 90

Requirements

  • Personally led capital raises for capital-intensive infrastructure (data centers, power, utilities, energy, or digital infrastructure) and closed them
  • Established network of lenders, investors, and LPs who will take your call
  • Experience likely as a Director or Managing Director in investment banking, an infrastructure investor, or a finance leader at a developer; prior CFO experience is a plus
  • Proficiency in project finance, debt structuring, and investor materials; ability to explain a capital stack to stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s in finance, economics or accounting required

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA, CFA or CPA

  • HSA, FSA, and dependent care FSA options

Health & Retirement Benefits
