Home Health/Home Care Accountant (Financial Reporting Manager)

Overview

The organization is seeking a Financial Reporting Manager (Home Health/Home Care Accountant) to support accounting and finance functions. This role involves reviewing critical financial data and metrics, collaborating with financial executive stakeholders, and interacting with multiple clients to help inform business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Work with engineering teams to create, prioritize, and test financial feature enhancements and support subsequent code rollout
• Collaborate with Finance Leadership to streamline reporting processes across all products
• Review existing reports across solutions and propose continuous process improvements, including functional corrections, design (aesthetic) improvements, and opportunities for sunsetting reports
• Assist with A/R clean-up efforts and other accounting projects for external clients
• Use JIRA and Excel to create and track tickets for the financial reporting team (bugs, enhancements, etc.)
• Build in-depth knowledge and understanding of all products, including vision and mission

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required
• 3–5 years of experience in accounting or financial reporting and analytics position required
• 1–3 years of Home Health or Home Care experience required
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP
• Ability to audit report output for accuracy, sound logic, and identify calculation errors
• Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills required, including pivot tables, complex spreadsheet reconciliation, and VLOOKUP/HLOOKUP logic
• Experience with accounting software (e.g. Quickbooks)
• Excellent communication skills (presentation, written, and verbal)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Public Accounting (CPA) designation preferred
• Experience as a hospice controller is highly preferred
