Overview

A fintech organization operating an FDIC-insured bank headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri, with additional offices in San Francisco, Sunnyvale, and New York City, is seeking a talented analyst to support its dynamic and growing Banking as a Service (BaaS) product finance function. The team combines regulatory and technological expertise to help fintech partners scale operations with compliance and creativity.

Responsibilities

  • Document money and data flows related to BaaS programs.
  • Evaluate proposed funds flows for alignment with standard funds movement frameworks.
  • Ensure funds flow architecture complies with oversight and regulatory mandates for payments, deposits, and card products.
  • Serve as a liaison between Accounting and Product, Engineering, and Compliance teams for BaaS program implementation, management, and reporting.
  • Support the lifecycle of lending, deposits, and payments products using deep understanding of BaaS funds flow architecture.
  • Assist with technical accounting integrations related to BaaS programs.
  • Develop and manage data validation, analysis, and reconciliations related to general ledger accounts and BaaS programs.
  • Create reporting and dashboards for daily operational use and management reporting.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to promote process improvements and efficiencies through streamlined data use cases and automation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of operational accounting and reconciliation experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of fintech implementation experience.
  • Proven experience with BaaS program reconciliation, including complex research and exception resolution.
  • Strong conceptual and practical understanding of funds flow for lending, deposits, and payments products within a partner banking model.
  • Experience working in deadline-oriented, fast-paced environments.
  • Experience in team/project management and working across functions to gather inputs and drive outcomes.
  • Action-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Curious and open to learning.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize assignments effectively and manage time and deadlines.
  • Comfortable working autonomously in a fluid environment.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Salary Ranges by Geographic Zone

  • Zone 1 (San Francisco/Bay Area, New York City, Seattle): $106,652 - $137,826
  • Zone 2 (Los Angeles, Chicago, Austin, Denver, Boston, Washington DC, San Diego, Philadelphia, Portland, Sacramento, Miami): $94,000 - $120,000
  • Zone 3 (Other US metropolitan areas): $87,529 - $115,000
