Interim CFO

Overview

This role is remote. The organization is seeking an Interim CFO to lead transaction readiness, guide M&A financial analysis, and provide finance leadership for an enterprise software (SaaS) business backed by private equity.

Responsibilities

• Lead transaction readiness efforts
• Guide M&A financial analysis and support transaction-related financial work
• Direct a hands-on M&A modeler, including challenging assumptions to ensure accurate, decision-ready financial analysis
• Ensure transaction-related reporting is complete and credible
• Turn incomplete or inconsistent financial and operational data into credible buyer materials
• Collaborate directly with executive leadership, investors, and external advisors in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

• Prior CFO experience with private equity-backed SaaS businesses
• Experience leading a sponsor-backed exit, including buyer diligence and transaction preparation
• Strong understanding of SaaS metrics, financial modeling, and transaction-related reporting
• Ability to direct and validate decision-ready financial analysis by challenging assumptions and ensuring accuracy
• Comfort working directly with executive leadership, investors, and external advisors in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Salesforce data and Sage Intacct
• Experience successfully guiding businesses through CFO transitions and interim leadership assignments
• Experience with mid-market companies and established FP&A teams
• Immediate availability with flexibility to increase hours as needed
