Interline Payable Specialist (Non-Exempt)

This position supports interline and agent partners by ensuring invoices are processed, verified, and reconciled accurately and paid on time. The role helps maintain accounts payable operations through careful attention to detail and consistent administrative execution.

Compensation: $21–$22 (based on education and experience)

Direct Reports: None

Location: Must be located in or near Bismarck, ND, Scottsbluff, NE, Denver CO, Phoenix AZ, Kansas City MO, Dallas TX, or Houston TX. This position has the potential to be remote.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable using accounting software and other programs.
• Handle accounts payable for interline and agent partners.
• Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing partners.
• Ensure invoices are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures, including processing due invoices for payment.
• Process transactions and perform accounting duties such as account maintenance, record entries, and reconcile books of accounts in a timely manner.
• Interact with partners in a helpful, courteous, and professional manner.
• Communicate and behave in a professional and team-like manner with other employees to maintain a positive work atmosphere.
• Obtain and work with the most current aging from partners to confirm open balances are reviewed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Strong organization, time management, and written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to perform highly detailed work accurately.
• Ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.

Work Conditions

• Generally a standard office environment.
• Sitting required approximately 90% of the time.
