Investment Analyst (worldwide)

Overview

This contractor role supports venture investment and capital formation work across two main fronts: fundraising/LP communication and investment research/diligence. The position is remote and open to worldwide candidates.

• Employment type: Contractor, Full-time
• Compensation: $4,000 – $5,000 USD per month

Responsibilities

Fundraising and LP support

• Draft LP updates, recaps, and outreach materials
• Maintain and update the LP pipeline after each meeting
• Help build fundraising materials including fund decks, one-pagers, data room materials, and newsletters

Research and diligence

• Build market maps, thematic research, and investment theses
• Run primary research calls with operators, customers, and experts
• Support market sizing, benchmarking, financial analysis, and investment memos

Deal support

• Coordinate diligence, data requests, and document tracking
• Keep deal materials, term sheets, and cap tables current

Written communication

• Convert meetings into accurate recaps
• Draft materials for LPs, founders, and co-investors with minimal editing

Requirements

• 2 to 3 years of experience in venture capital, investment banking, consulting, startup operations/strategy, or a founder’s office
• Direct exposure to fundraising, investor relations, or LP communications
• Exceptional written English and credibility on calls with senior investors (writing is a primary filter for this role)
• Strong foundation in financial modeling, market sizing, competitive analysis, and accounting fundamentals, plus working familiarity with term sheets, cap tables, and diligence
• AI-native proficiency, including fluency in Claude, ChatGPT, Notion, and no-code automations; plus working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Workspace
• Strong investment judgment: form a point of view, track work consistently, and finish what you start

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience directly supporting venture diligence and investment memo production
• Demonstrated ability to work with sensitive information discreetly under pressure
