Overview

This role involves managing the end-to-end invoicing process for completed field service work. Working with Field Service Providers (FSPs), Partner Management, and Accounts Payable, you will ensure partner invoices are reviewed, processed, and paid accurately and efficiently in alignment with contract terms.

Responsibilities

  • FSP Communication & Compliance: Proactively contact Field Service Partners to secure missing deliverables required to process invoices (e.g., replaced equipment serial numbers, undocumented RMAs, and incomplete site reports).
  • Scope Auditing & Troubleshooting: Use solar industry expertise to audit client-initiated invoicing concerns and determine whether the Scope of Work is accurate; troubleshoot case histories to identify whether an issue should be billed internally due to an internal mistake in validating work performed.
  • Invoice Processing: Enter completed service pricing derived from FSP invoices, ensuring strict alignment with previously agreed-upon pricing tiers, rates, and the designated billable party.
  • Exception Handling: Review Work Order (WO) histories and process Retroactive Non-covered Service Requests (NCSRs) alongside client responses to determine next steps; submit approved Retro NCSRs for final invoicing.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with the internal accounting team to manage invoice approvals and ensure all work orders are closed out within 30 days of the FSP’s initial submission.

Requirements (Experience You’ll Need)

  • Industry Expertise: Proven experience in the residential solar industry, including deep understanding of solar scopes of work, troubleshooting, and equipment.
  • Platform Proficiency: Hands-on experience using SolarEdge and Enphase platforms; proficiency navigating Salesforce to review case and Work Order (WO) histories.
  • Vendor & Invoice Management: Experience managing Field Service Partners, processing complex invoices, and maintaining professional communications.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong investigative ability to cross-reference contracts, validate performed work, identify discrepancies, and accurately determine financial liability.

Preferred Qualifications (Experience That’s a Plus)

  • Experience in a high-volume operations or field service environment
  • Prior work with NetSuite, Salesforce, or similar platforms
  • Knowledge of solar or clean energy service industries
  • Experience working with third-party vendors or contractors
