Middle Office Analyst/ Trading operations- Central/South America

Overview

This role involves working as a Middle Office Analyst supporting trading activities within a digital asset liquidity provision firm. The position covers US time zones and Central/South America.

The organization specializes in algorithmic trading and market-making across multiple global locations, facilitating a significant portion of global daily volumes through connectivity to numerous venues.

Responsibilities

• Monitor accounts and portfolios using various tools and analytical skills to assist in daily reconciliations.
• Support the trading team with asset management across exchanges and follow up on fund transfers as needed.
• Collaborate individually or with teams and external contacts to resolve discrepancies and troubleshoot systemic issues promptly.
• Manage creditor interactions, including verifying terms, facilitating drawdown and payment of loan principal and interest, and auditing invoices.
• Produce scheduled and unscheduled reports, analyses, and historical records as required.
• Assist in quality assurance practices and help develop manual processes into automated workflows.
• Conduct thorough break analysis and resolve discrepancies in trading data.
• Support various ad hoc projects and tasks as required by the team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field from a reputable institution.
• 3-5 years of middle office experience, preferably within a multinational organization, ideally in digital currencies, trading, or financial services.
• Ability to raise issues with peers and managers and communicate effectively with clients and business partners to negotiate terms.
• Strong ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and demonstrate self-motivation.
• Good initiative, sense of urgency, and resilience to handle the dynamics of fast-paced teams.
• Proficiency in Excel and financial software systems.
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external partners.
• Understanding of blockchain technology, digital assets, and cryptocurrency regulatory landscape is highly desirable.
• A self-starter who goes beyond assigned tasks to ensure quality outcomes.
