Overview

The organization is seeking an experienced P2P Finance Consultant (Accounts Payable & Procurement) to provide hands-on support to the Finance team during a period of transformation and project implementation.

This role combines day-to-day Accounts Payable operations with vendor master data management, procurement administration, and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) transformation support. The successful candidate will help maintain accurate and timely financial operations, support payment controls and reporting, and contribute to vendor data clean-up, renewal tracking, spend consolidation, and process improvements.

Working closely with the wider Finance, Accounts Payable, and Procurement teams, the consultant will help maintain business-as-usual activities while supporting ongoing transformation and integration initiatives.

Responsibilities

Accounts Payable Operations & Payments

  • Produce monthly Accounts Payable KPI reports for management review and distribution.
  • Prepare monthly AP cashflow forecasts for review with the AP Manager and Treasury.
  • Monitor the month-end AP close process and review accruals for submission.
  • Review weekly payment runs against cashflow forecasts and perform payment-run checks to ensure accuracy and appropriate controls.
  • Manage beneficiary data in NetSuite and Ibanfirst, including reviewing urgent payment requests and supporting beneficiary creation in Ibanfirst.
  • Manage vendor onboarding by verifying vendor information, creating vendor records in NetSuite, and liaising with the General Ledger for approval.
  • Administer TravelPerk, monitor expense-report deadlines, and resolve platform-related issues.
  • Support the administration of Accounts Payable tools, including resolving NetSuite and Zone approval issues.

Procurement & P2P Operations

  • Maintain and improve vendor master data, coordinating vendor deactivation and identifying key suppliers.
  • Review spend in Spendesk, identifying fragmented expenditure and potential savings opportunities.
  • Support contract administration and renewal tracking, ensuring renewal decisions and actions are appropriately documented.
  • Contribute to P2P transformation initiatives, including process mapping, documentation, and standardisation.
  • Support M&A-related activities, including:
    • Creation of new entities
    • Transition of existing vendors
    • Review of current AP ledgers
    • Migration of payment arrangements such as direct debits, credit card payments, and standing orders

Requirements

  • Practical experience in Accounts Payable and/or Procure-to-Pay operations.
  • Experience with vendor onboarding, vendor master data maintenance, and vendor lifecycle management.
  • Working knowledge of ERP and finance systems, with NetSuite experience particularly relevant.
  • Experience with payment processing, payment controls, cashflow forecasting, and month-end Accounts Payable activities.
  • Strong Excel and spreadsheet skills, with experience preparing operational reports, trackers, and financial analysis.
  • Understanding of end-to-end Accounts Payable and Procure-to-Pay processes.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a control-focused mindset.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across Finance and wider business teams.
  • Highly organized and adaptable, with the ability to work independently and balance recurring operational responsibilities with project priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with procurement administration, supplier consolidation, subscription or spend reviews, and contract renewals would be advantageous.
  • Familiarity with systems such as Ibanfirst, Spendesk, TravelPerk, Zone, Zip, or Pivot would be beneficial.
  • Exposure to P2P transformation, process mapping, M&A integration, or finance system implementation would be an advantage.
