Overview

The organization is seeking a Payroll Specialist to support payroll functions, ensuring payroll processes are administered on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Administer payroll processing and collect payroll data to maintain accurate payroll records.
  • Process employee, timesheet, benefits, and other payroll information in the payroll system. Data may include:
    • Hourly rates, salaries, commissions, bonuses, and other compensation
    • Time worked, paid leave, and holidays
    • Deductions and withholding
    • Address changes and other required updates
  • Assist with proper processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, and other deductions.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Payroll Manager on accurate and timely processing of payroll-related paperwork, including wage garnishments and tax agency notices.
  • Issue manual or replacement checks or direct deposits due to payroll errors, direct deposit returns, or final discharge.
  • Manage the payroll inbox (FreshDesk ticketing system) and respond to payroll inquiries within 24–48 hours.
  • Support the Senior Payroll Manager with biweekly, monthly, off-cycle, quarter-end, and year-end payroll processing.
  • Prepare payroll reports for senior management or auditing purposes, upon request.
  • Participate in problem-solving and special projects within the Payroll Department.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor on an as-needed basis.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of payroll experience required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient with, or the ability to quickly learn, payroll software.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Workday and ADP Smart compliance experience.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Compensation: $63,000–$77,000

Full-time employees (30+ hours per week) are eligible for:
