- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of IT and data-related developments, sharing key learnings in an easy-to-understand way.
- Take ownership of audits and other work with a leadership mindset.
- Identify and propose pragmatic solutions to improve processes and operations, both within IA and across the business.
- Actively contribute to the development of IA strategy and continuous improvement.
- Maintain integrity, professionalism, discretion, diplomacy, and a positive, constructive mindset.
- Provide honest and constructive feedback to other members of the function (upwards, downwards, and sideways) regularly.
- Communicate clearly and effectively—verbally and in writing—with a wide range of audiences (senior, junior, and peers).
- Safeguard independence and objectivity for the function.
- Promote and protect the profile and reputation of IA and the wider group.
- Adopt an appropriate working style (in-office, hybrid, remote; or a blend) and demonstrate good time management.
- Support controls assurance across the group in line with the Assurance Plan and as determined by IA management; where requested, provide support to specific business function controls, special projects, or consultancy services outside the Audit Plan under the direction of the Heads of Internal Audit or other senior leaders in the IA team.
