Payroll Specialist

Overview

This Associate-level Payroll Specialist role supports payroll-related operations for cruises, tours, destination celebrations, groups, reservations, and traveler service. The position focuses on accurate financial records, reconciliation, and exception handling, with work that is traceable, documented, and ready for handoff to an authorized teammate.

This is a full-time, 100% remote role within the United States.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate payroll-focused execution by helping track unresolved financial exceptions, ensuring items remain traceable across payroll-related workflows for cruises, tours, destination celebrations, groups, reservations, and traveler service.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation so records are complete, traceable, and verifiable.
• Protect confidential account information and ensure handling follows required confidentiality practices.
• Review financial inputs against supporting records to validate accuracy and identify issues.
• Reconcile discrepancies before reporting or processing.
• Use spreadsheet-based analysis to support payroll-focused execution and financial review.
• Provide audit support while preserving evidence, owners, and deadlines.
• Document approval tracking decisions clearly enough for another teammate to follow the reasoning.
• Apply sound judgment around cruises operations, including knowing when to escalate rather than assume.

Requirements

• Experience supporting payroll-focused execution and maintaining financial records that support reconciliation and exception handling.
• Ability to perform financial record review and reconciliation work with strong data accuracy.
• Experience with invoice review and payment tracking.
• Familiarity with audit support, including maintaining documentation that remains usable for review.
• Strong understanding of confidentiality practices for account information.
• Ability to produce clear, traceable documentation for document review and approval tracking.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: $43,000–$68,000 per year.
