Payroll Tax Consulting - Associate - Remote

Salary Range: $63,964 - $110,872

This role involves joining a global data and technology organization that operates across various markets including financial services, healthcare, automotive, agribusiness, and insurance. The team is focused on leveraging data and analytics to create opportunities for consumers, businesses, and society.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on a multi-year strategic initiative to build a new business in payroll tax consulting.
• Assist leadership in managing specific client relationships.
• Lead client projects including task management, file organization, meeting project deadlines, and billing.
• Provide payroll tax consulting and guidance to clients.
• Help clients improve payroll tax processes and identify payroll tax refunds.
• Support clients with mergers and acquisitions (M&A) reporting requirements and securing savings.
• Provide federal and state audit support services.
• Engage with federal, state, and local taxing authorities to resolve client matters.
• Manage tax risk thoughtfully and logically.
• Assist leadership with research, publications, and presentations.
• Learn new concepts and adapt to a new business environment.

Requirements

• Relevant payroll tax consulting experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.
• Experience managing client tax deadlines.
• Experience analyzing payroll data, client workpapers, and tax forms.
• Comfortable with tax legislation, IRS rules and regulations, and general tax research.
