Overview

A full-time Pricing Analyst position is available to support the Space Systems Command (SSC) Contracting Directorate. The role is based at Los Angeles Air Force Base, CA, with remote work eligibility within the Continental United States (CONUS). An active DoD Secret security clearance is required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage pricing for multiple large-scale proposals, each approximately $500 million, and equivalent smaller projects, contributing to an annual pricing workload of around $6 billion.
  • Ensure all pricing activities comply with regulatory requirements and SSC financial policies.
  • Develop pricing support products such as price negotiation memorandums, clearance slides, Excel files, evaluation write-ups, analysis reports, comments matrices, recommended language, and training materials.
  • Analyze cost proposals and provide solutions for complex pricing challenges, preparing narratives, presentation slides, and Excel outputs for approvals.
  • Perform evaluations in accordance with FAR, DFARS, DAFFARS, and other applicable policies within negotiated timelines.
  • Conduct various analyses including price, cost, value, cost principles, pricing clauses, contract-type, parametric estimating, cash flow, cost realism, economic price adjustments, business practices, profit/fee/incentive, contract audit recommendations, make-or-buy, and escalation indices.
  • Coordinate multiple concurrent proposals or projects, managing time and resources to meet deadlines and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with SSC leadership and the A&AS team to provide accurate reports and updates, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance pricing methodologies and efficiency.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship.
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience evaluating and/or writing Government Cost/Price Proposals within DoD or Government contracting environments.
  • Proficiency with pricing software and tools.
  • Advanced knowledge of DoD financial policies and regulations.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • This position does not include supervisory duties.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • Professional office environment.
  • Routine use of standard office equipment.
  • Ability to remain stationary approximately 80% of the time.

Travel

  • No travel is required for this position.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary range: $95,000 to $135,000 USD annually (California pay transparency range).
