Overview

This role supports a rapidly scaling Marketplace Fulfillment business. Reporting to the Head of Marketplace Fulfillment Finance, the Principal Financial Analyst partners with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to shape strategy, influence investments, and drive profitable growth.

The position owns complex analyses, forecasting, and financial models for fast-moving initiatives, while improving financial transparency and rigor across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead pre-deal financial analytics by building right-to-win screens and unit economics models at the brand and SKU level, sizing ramps and break-even points, and proactively flagging operational constraints and SLA risks.
  • Drive assortment expansion decisions by identifying the highest-ROI SKUs, modeling sell-through, cost-to-serve, and variable retail profit across fulfillment paths and phased launch scenarios.
  • Own and scale the quote engine by designing defensible, auditable cost-to-serve models that translate brand scope into standardized, automated quotes using SQL and Power BI, with CRM-ready outputs and clear approval guardrails.
  • Close the loop post-launch by comparing quoted economics to actuals, identifying drivers of variance, and continuously improving deal models, playbooks, and exception policies.
  • Provide end-to-end pipeline and capacity visibility by partnering with Business Development, Operations, Finance, Legal, and Outbound to surface risks early, unblock execution, and ensure launches are fast, accurate, and surprise-free.

Requirements

  • 6–10+ years of experience in FP&A, strategy, or operations analytics within eCommerce, marketplace, or fulfillment-adjacent environments, with a strong track record of influencing business decisions.
  • Advanced analytics toolkit, including expert-level SQL and Excel, strong Power BI capabilities (data modeling, DAX), and experience working with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouses.
  • Proven experience building scalable economics models, including hands-on development of quoting frameworks, cost-to-serve engines, and operational guardrails that support rapid growth.
  • Exceptional communication and business partnership skills; able to translate complex analyses into clear narratives, drive alignment across senior stakeholders, and perform under tight timelines.
  • Owner’s mindset with strong collaboration skills, combining accountability, humility, and resilience to navigate ambiguity and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
