Overview
A leading organization is seeking a Principal Financial Analyst to perform financial planning and analysis (FP&A) for a $300 million portfolio with multiple complex vehicles. This role involves preparing financial reports, developing forecasting models, and supporting budgeting processes.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and variance analyses
- Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning
- Analyze financial performance against budget and prior periods, identifying trends and variances
- Support the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes
- Prepare executive-level presentations and dashboards for senior management
- Maintain and enhance financial reporting systems and tools
- Streamline financial processes and improve efficiency through automation
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all financial reports
- Support month-end and quarter-end close activities
Requirements
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, and financial modeling
- Experience with financial planning software such as Hyperion, Adaptive Insights, or SAP BPC
- Proficiency in ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or similar
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
- Data visualization tool experience (Power BI, Tableau) preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to present financial information to non-financial audiences
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 8 years of related work experience
