Overview
This is a fully remote senior accounting role within a CPA firm specializing in real estate clients, including investors, syndicates, and fund managers. The team is distributed across the United States and focuses on delivering high-quality financial services using advanced technology and automation.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and develop staff accountants by setting deadlines, removing obstacles, and providing detailed review feedback
- Review financial statements prepared by associates using QuickBooks Online and other accounting platforms
- Prepare, review, and deliver timely financial statements, dashboards, KPIs, and forecasts to clients
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor through regular communication via Zoom, phone, and email
- Provide additional client services such as weekly or monthly oversight calls and ad hoc reporting and analysis
- Lead client onboarding and ensure smooth transitions into firm processes
- Identify and implement firm improvements by leveraging collaboration, technology, and automation
- Coordinate year-end hand-off of client books to the tax team for tax return preparation

Remote Work Expectations

Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting from an accredited institution
- 2-3 years of senior-level review experience, preferably with real estate and small business clients
- 1-2 years experience managing a team of staff accountants to produce quality deliverables
- Extensive experience with QuickBooks Online, Yardi, and other property management software
- Knowledge of entity types, structuring, and transactions
- High proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Google Suite
- Proven ability to manage client relationships and meet engagement objectives accurately and on time
- Strong written and oral communication skills and interpersonal abilities
- Public accounting experience preferred
- CPA certification is not required but compensation will reflect credentials and experience
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $73,000 - $90,000
