Overview

This role involves maintaining and improving rebate payment calculation, reporting, and communication processes. The Rebate Analyst produces monthly rebate forecasts, understands client contractual obligations, and performs detailed manual calculations to determine rebates due to clients. Additional responsibilities include supporting financial audits and conducting ad hoc analyses.

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed manual calculations for client rebate payments
  • Prepare internal and external reports to support rebate payments and perform rebate payment reconciliations
  • Evaluate client contracts and amendments regularly, tracking updated rebate payment terms to ensure accurate liability forecasts and calculations
  • Review and analyze rebate reimbursements to ensure contract compliance
  • Support rebate-related requests and inquiries from internal and external clients
  • Ensure processes and procedures comply with client contractual agreements
  • Recommend process improvements when identified
  • Prepare rebate deliverables to support organizational financial planning and analysis
  • Utilize database functionality to analyze large data sets
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in Accounting, Business, or Finance
  • Minimum 3 years of experience using Microsoft Excel; experience with Tableau and/or SQL preferred
  • At least 3 years of full-time professional experience in financial and data analysis preferred
  • Previous experience in Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) is a strong plus
  • Strong knowledge of spreadsheet and database use and functionality; ability to write SQL is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple concurrent projects and meet strict deadlines
  • Effective communication skills, able to convey complex issues concisely and professionally
  • Ability to read, understand, and execute detailed contract language
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
  • Self-motivated with a quick learning ability
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel required

Work Environment

This position is remote and requires prolonged sitting in front of a computer. It requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office equipment such as phone, fax machine, and copier.
