Overview
This Senior Regulatory Analyst II role supports regulatory compliance for state and federal filings and related audit and reporting activities.
Responsibilities
- File monthly, quarterly, and annual state and federal regulatory reports for the organization and related legal entities.
- Assist the regulatory compliance department with coordination of responses to data requests.
- Seek regulatory approvals as needed.
- Support commission inquiries and various ILEC/CLEC/IXC reports.
- Assist with AP coordination and state US payment processing and maintenance of regulatory reports.
- Maintain regulatory report files and tracking databases.
- Communicate proactively and professionally with internal departments, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
- Manage regulatory audits.
- Support ad hoc compliance-related projects as they arise during the year.
Requirements
- Associate or bachelor’s degree with concentration in telecommunications or accounting preferred.
- 0–1 year of experience in an accounting, bookkeeping, tax, or financial reporting role.
- Accounting and financial analysis skills.
- Accounts payable experience desired.
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Research skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Effective communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree concentration in telecommunications or accounting.
- Accounts payable experience.
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting compensation range: $50,000 to $74,500.
- Actual base pay will depend on the candidate's primary work location and other factors, such as relevant skills and experience.
