REMOTE Accounting Associate (QuickBooks)

Overview

A remote opportunity is available for an experienced Accounting Associate with proficiency in QuickBooks to support clients in the public accounting sector. This role offers a flexible work environment and the chance to contribute to a growing organization.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the accounts receivable process, ensuring timely invoicing and payment collection.
• Perform monthly and weekly bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Support payroll processing for clients, ensuring accurate and timely employee payments.
• Maintain the chart of accounts with accuracy and compliance to financial reporting standards.
• Assist in preparing financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
• Collaborate with the accounting team to improve processes and procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing accounting-related inquiries and resolving issues promptly.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the accounting and finance industry.
• Degree in accounting or a related field.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, especially accounts receivable and bank reconciliations.
• Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining complex financial information clearly.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment with a proactive approach to problem-solving and initiative.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience coming from a public accounting firm.
• At least 3 years of experience with QuickBooks Online.
