Remote Tax & Accounting Manager

Overview

A growing professional services firm is seeking a Tax & Accounting Manager to join their team. This role combines hands-on tax review and client advisory with entrepreneurial, strategic, and management responsibilities. The Manager will collaborate with a team of professionals to achieve client goals and help execute the firm's vision.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor staff to enhance skills and support career development
• Manage office workflow and procedures
• Lead client engagements and serve as the primary relationship owner
• Prepare and review individual, business (C-corporations, S-corporations, partnerships), exempt, and fiduciary tax returns
• Provide advisory services related to tax, finance, and business practices
• Collaborate with the Tax Director to develop and implement retention, growth, and operational strategies

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years experience preparing and reviewing individual, corporate, partnership, and estate tax returns
• Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting
• CPA or EA certification required
• Prior team management experience is a significant plus
