Overview

A professional services firm is seeking a Senior Associate to join their Restructuring and Dispute Resolution Advisory practice. This role supports the Restructuring & Dispute Resolution group, providing a wide range of services to clients. The position is remote, with occasional requirements to attend office locations for client work, team meetings, or training.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct financial modeling, financial statement analysis, and document review
  • Prepare materials for findings, expert reports, and investigation results
  • Analyze profits, costs, cash flows, market trends, valuations, and other relevant data to assist businesses and their counsel
  • Identify project issues and risks and escalate to management
  • Interact directly with attorneys and client personnel, demonstrating business knowledge to instill client confidence

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in forensic accounting/litigation support, insolvency accounting (including creditor committee and/or debtor bankruptcies), financial fraud investigation, financial modeling, ratio and comparable company analysis, and preparation or review of financial statements and projections
  • Preferred certifications: CFA, CPA, CFE, or CIRA
  • Experience assessing business plans
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and root cause determination skills
  • Strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to extract useful information from large, unorganized, or incomplete data sets
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a deadline-driven environment
  • Action-oriented and decisive with a hands-on approach to meet deliverables on time and with high quality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
  • Flexibility to meet client needs, including up to 25% travel
  • Strong attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications such as CFA, CPA, CFE, or CIRA

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range in New York: $85,000 to $140,000, dependent on skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable laws
