Overview
This role is a senior individual contributor Sales Operations Business Manager position within the Voice division. You will lead day-to-day sales operations for a Motorola Solutions partner selling two-way radio, dispatch, and mobility solutions.
The position owns the division’s reporting and forecast cadence and partners with sales leaders across 15 markets. You will support quota and territory planning, acquisition integration, and Motorola program reporting. The ideal candidate is a hands-on analyst who turns accurate data into action.
Responsibilities
Reporting & Operating Cadence
- Own weekly performance reporting and bookings forecasts for the division, highlighting risks and opportunities by market for sales leadership.
- Run the sales operating cadence, including forecast calls, commit reviews, and quarterly scorecards, and hold sales leaders accountable to deadlines and deliverables.
- Monitor booked orders daily for changes and drop-offs, and explain significant moves to leadership before they become surprises.
Data Integrity & Reconciliation
- Investigate and resolve data discrepancies across CRM, ERP, and BI systems, separating timing and mapping issues from real business change.
- Maintain accurate sales hierarchy and territory mappings through organizational changes, partnering with Analytics to fix issues at the source.
- Validate recurring reports before distribution and reconcile Sales and Finance views of bookings.
Planning & Acquisition Integration
- Support annual bottoms-up bookings planning for sales and service teams, including baselines, methodology, and consolidating submissions.
- Build territory and coverage models with sales managers, and implement approved quota and territory changes across systems.
- Lead sales operations integration for acquired businesses, including quota setup and alignment to the organization’s structure.
Channel Programs & Cross-Functional Partnership
- Manage reporting for Motorola Solutions channel programs and serve as the day-to-day operations contact for Motorola’s channel team.
- Partner with Finance, Sales Compensation, and Analytics to align data, definitions, and processes.
- Train sales managers on reporting tools and processes, and automate manual work using low-code and AI tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years in sales operations, revenue operations, or FP&A supporting field sales, including ownership of recurring leadership reporting and forecasting.
- Experience with quota setting and territory planning; acquisition integration experience a plus.
- Willing to travel as necessary to support company and customer needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced proficiency in BI tools (Tableau preferred), CRM (HubSpot or Salesforce), and Excel; ERP experience (NetSuite or similar) a plus.
- Strong understanding of bookings, revenue, pipeline, quota, and forecasting, and how data flows between sales and financial systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the judgment to escalate numbers that do not reconcile rather than force them to fit.
- Highly organized, effective communicator who can lead meetings with sales leaders, explain results with evidence, and hold teams accountable to deadlines.
- Ability to manage fixed weekly deadlines alongside daily ad hoc requests in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience automating reports with low-code or AI tools (Power Automate, Copilot) a plus.
- Motorola Solutions or manufacturer channel program experience preferred; background in two-way radio, communications, or public safety a plus.
