Seasonal TurboTax Community Tax Expert - Online Writing Role

Overview

This remote, work-from-home position supports customers by providing high-quality written responses to tax and technical questions. The role involves producing accurate written content quickly while meeting defined quality and productivity goals.

Responsibilities

• Support customers by providing high-quality written responses to tax and technical questions in an online community so customers can complete their tax returns
• Produce accurate written content quickly and proficiently, while striving to meet defined quality and productivity goals
• Complete various other projects using effective writing skills

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• Remote work-from-home
• Ability to type or use voice-to-text proficiently

Requirements

• Active EA Certification, CPA, or JD (practicing attorney in taxation)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience preparing federal (individual Form 1040) and state income tax returns using professional tax software in a work environment
• Additional experience with business returns is a plus (1120, 1120S, 1065, 1041)
• Ability to write clearly and concisely, using simple language to explain complex tax issues
• Excellent use of the English language, including spelling and grammar
• Ability to understand and interpret customers' tax questions without seeing their tax return
• Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and research skills
• Technical proficiency using a variety of cloud-based applications, search engines, Google Workspace, and essential computer skills such as Microsoft Office and file management
• Ability to work a full-time schedule (40 hours per week), flexible within five set days of the week

Compensation & Benefits
