Seasonal TurboTax Community Tax Expert - Online Writing Role

Overview

This remote role supports customers with tax questions through written responses in an online community. The position is a fit for individuals with strong tax preparation experience, excellent writing skills, and a passion for helping customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality written responses to tax and technical questions for customers in an online community so customers can complete their tax returns
• Produce accurate written content quickly and proficiently while meeting defined quality and productivity goals
• Complete various other projects that leverage strong writing skills

Qualifications

• Active EA Certification, CPA, or JD (practicing attorney in taxation)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience preparing federal (individual Form 1040) and state income tax returns using professional tax software in a work environment
• Additional experience with business returns (1120, 1120S, 1065, 1041) is a plus
• Ability to write clearly and concisely using simple language to explain complex tax issues
• Excellent use of the English language, including spelling and grammar
• Ability to understand and interpret customers’ tax questions without seeing their tax return
• Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and research skills
• Technical proficiency using cloud-based applications, search engines, Google Workspace, and essential computer skills such as Microsoft Office and file management
• Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week), flexible within five set days of the week

• Ability to type or voice-to-text proficiently

Compensation & Benefits
