Senior Accountant - Government Contracting (Remote)

Overview

This role supports a national firm providing back office accounting, finance, and HR services to government contractor businesses. The Senior Accountant - Government Contracting will support a large external client with project accounting through general ledger (GL) close, financial statement production, and financial review and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Own accounting for assigned entities
• Manage project accounting activities through GL close
• Produce and support financial statement production
• Perform financial review and analysis
• Support a multi-entity environment with 100+ active projects
• Collaborate with nationwide Project Managers, a Financial Analyst, and an offshore accounting team
• Work remotely while supporting CST or EST business hours
• Travel once per month to various client locations as needed

Requirements

• 5-10 years of experience performing full-cycle GL accounting, project accounting, close, and analysis through financial statement production
• Prior government contracting entity accounting experience (required); ideally in construction, IT, or manufacturing
• Experience working with companies that have numerous multi-entities and increased company complexity
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Curiosity, ability to learn quickly, and self-driven work style

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay: $110k + bonus
